Kris Ramos, LCSW, CEDS

Kris Ramos (she/they) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley and currently lives in San Antonio. Kris identifies as a proud queer Latina. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from The University of Texas at Austin in 2016 and her Master of Social Work from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2017. Kris has always carried a fascination for abnormal behavior and taught a graduate level course on Human Behavior. Kris initially began her career working as an inpatient psychiatric social worker, treating acute psychotic disorders. 

She later switched her focus to the treatment of eating disorders and has devoted her career to working with individuals and families with complex eating disorders. Kris is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) and has experience in providing supervision and consultation to other clinicians in the field of eating disorders. She also has a strong focus on the mental health disparities within gender and sexual minority populations as well as adolescent specific mental health. 

Fun facts about Kris: 

"I have a pug named Geraldo, and he is my whole world! I am oddly good at jigsaw puzzles and I was a state champion chess player in my youth. Barnes & Noble and Half Price Books are my happy places."
